Many of us set New Year’s resolutions in January, yet often those goals have been forgotten and neglected by March. Interestingly enough, the new year was once celebrated around the time of the spring equinox––so, what better time than spring to reevaluate our New Year’s resolutions and get back on track?

There are many ways to practice mindfulness. Researchers have identified numerous benefits to incorporating mindfulness into your daily routine. Some mindfulness benefits include: reduced depressive symptoms, less stress, improved memory, improved focus, less emotional reactivity (in other words, you are less snappy), increased satisfaction with one’s relationships, increased happiness, and more.
There are many forms of mindfulness and meditation. Open eye meditation is a great place to start. The whole goal is to direct your attention to the present moment. Jacquelyn, Director of Enterprise Development at Nuuaria, walks you through the practice.
